Operation Smile is a Wonderful Charity

Just click here to donate and save a life.

Having a child with disabilities makes every case close to my heart.  No child should be labeled handicapped because they are all beautiful just the way they are.  I grew up labeled From time to time some charities touch my heart and with me it hard because I am low income and can not donate.  Just look at these beautiful children that could die if no one would help them.  Leave it to me to be over emotional but it just breaks my heart.  Please help these children if you can to have a future like every kid deserves.
You may find more information about Operation Smile at: http://www.operationsmile.org/about_us/who-we-are/
Now if you are in the same boat like me low on cash but want to help, you still can.  If your in college we know it can be pretty pricey to buy school books.  My wife's always cost around $100 or more.  Why not rent them?  It helps you out financially and your also helping others.  How? well it just so happens that campusbookrentals.com gives money to Operation Smile every time a book is rented.  Which is an Amazing charity that really cares about kids and if I had money I would donate lots to them.  Just so happens we are poor and disabled so that means we do not get enough money month to month to live but this is a true quality company!

Benefits of Renting your books:

Some perks are:
-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-we donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented
-etc..

Who We Are: International Children's Medical Charity

Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that performs safe, effective cleft lip and cleft palate surgery, and delivers postoperative and ongoing medical therapies to children in low and middle income countries.
At Operation Smile, we're more than a charity. We're a mobilized force of international medical professionals and caring hearts. Operation Smile is a pioneer in advocating for the importance of safe surgery in resource poor environments and is the largest surgical charity of its kind, leading research into the causes of cleft lip and cleft palate, and its prevention, treatment and eradication.
Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft. A child with a cleft has twice the odds of dying before their first birthday. Children with cleft conditions who survive may have difficulty eating, speaking, hearing or breathing properly. In some places, they are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can't afford the surgeries they need to live a productive life.
Every child deserves access to safe, quality surgical care. Every child deserves a future filled with hope.
That's where we come in as the largest volunteer-based children's medical charity providing free cleft surgeries. Since 1982, Operation Smile — through the help of dedicated medical volunteers — has provided 220,000 free surgical procedures for children and young adults. Our work creates a lasting global impact. We train local medical professionals in developing countries and strengthen healthcare systems so more children in some of the poorest areas in the world can be treated.
As one of the most prominent charities for children in the world, we work in over 60 countries to heal children’s smiles and bring hope for a better future. Together, we are saving children’s lives.
Thanks to the generosity and spirit of volunteerism shown by our supporters, we heal thousands of children per year. With your help, how many lives can we change tomorrow? "THE NEED IS GREAT ...

we have the courage to take on that challenge. There are not enough human beings to take care of the need ... We have to continue to do more, we have to challenge ourselves to do more.”
